If there is anything you need to know about beds and mattresses, Julia Hooper is the lady with the answers. A member of Gardiner Haskins Bristol's staff since 2003, Julia has seen many changes over the years, but her commitment to delivering great customer service has always been the same.
Julia started her career in the insurance sector, but after having her two children, began working as a receptionist at the Gardiner Haskins owned curtains and beds showroom Bells. The hours were perfect for the working mum - working around school hours and term times to be flexible to her family life.
When Bells closed in 2003, Julia made the move to the Gardiner Haskins Homecentre in Broad Plain as an office and admin assistant in the Haskins Furniture Department. After just one year a vacancy became available as part of the sales team. Julia took to the new role instantly and "has never looked back".
16 years later, Julia is still a key part of the beds department at Gardiner Haskins interiors' new showrooms. Her expertise in the products means she is able to advise customers on choosing the perfect product for them.
"I always strive to deliver first class customer service"
Outside of work, Julia spends her time socialising and keeping fit through cycling as well as getting artistic in the garden creating topiary designs. She is also an avid Bristol Rugby fan as well as a keen traveller - visiting countries including Vietnam, USA and more. She is even planning to combine her love of travelling and rugby with a trip to South Africa with the Lions Tour in 2020.
One of Julias most recent activities even saw her abseil down the six storey Gardiner Haskins building for The Bristol Zoo charity!
