Exciting New Showrooms at Gardiner Haskins’ Bristol Store
There are some exciting changes happening at Gardiner Haskins in Bristol. Brand new showrooms are being built in our iconic Brunel Rooms, which sits adjacent to the Gardiner Haskins “Old Soapworks” building. By December 2018 the Brunel Rooms will be home to brand new Fitted Kitchen, Bathroom, Bed and Made to Measure Curtain and Blind showrooms, all with the latest designs to inspire your home.

New Bristol Kitchen Showroom

This stunning new kitchen showroom will be 20% bigger than our current showroom and will feature 20 full sized inspirational kitchen displays which will take full advantage of the character of the Victorian building. All of the kitchens will be from British manufacturers who offer the latest and best designs, including: Prentice Kitchens, Crown Imperial, English Rose and Mackintosh. The kitchen showroom will also feature fully functioning NEFF appliances, including induction hobs, dishwashers and ovens.
New Bristol Bathroom Showroom
Where?: Located on the ground floor of the Brunel Rooms via Straight Street
When?: Work will start at the end of July and the new showroom will open in December 2018
Existing Showroom: the existing Bathroom showroom will remain open until the new showroom is complete, with no interruption in service to existing customers

Featuring a range of inspiring bathroom displays, including wet rooms, fitted bathroom furniture, slipper and free standing baths, his and her sinks, tiles and flooring as well as a range of bathroom accessories. We will continue to offer a full design and installation service to offer customers a complete bathroom service. The new showroom will be set over 5,000 square feet offering plenty of space to inspire customers who are planning their new bathroom.
New Bristol Bed Showroom
Where?: Located on the first floor of the Brunel Rooms via Straight Street
When?: The new Bed showroom will open in October 2018
Existing Showroom: the existing Bed showroom will remain open until the new showroom is complete, with no interruption in service to existing customers

This will be the most impressive Bed showroom in Bristol, with over 5,500 square feet containing over 50 beds from top British and International brands including Harrison, Millbrook, Relyon, Sealy, Sleepeezee and Hypnos beds. The design of the showroom will have a loft apartment feel, taking advantage of the curved brick ceilings and exposed steel work which is a key feature of the Brunel Rooms building.
New Bristol Made to Measure Curtains & Blinds Showroom
Where?: Located on the first floor of the Brunel Rooms via Straight Street
When?: The new Made to Measure Curtain and Blind showroom will open in the last quarter of 2018 (date TBC)
Existing Showroom: the existing Made to Measure Curtain and Blind showroom will remain open until the new showroom is complete, with no interruption in service to existing customers

We will continue to offer a full Made to Measure Curtain and Blind service, including consultation with our expert team, measurement service, hand sewn making (not factory finish) and fitting service. We offer a large range of exclusive brands which aren’t available anywhere else in Bristol.
Timeline of New Showrooms in 2018
June: Work will begin installing our new Fitted Kitchen showroom in the Brunel Rooms (current showroom will remain open).
July: End of the month, new Bathroom showroom will start to be installed in the Brunel Rooms (current showroom will remain open).
August: Rewards early redemption – we are offering Rewards customers the option to redeem their vouchers early (we will still offer the usual Rewards redemption in December too).
October: New Bed showroom will open in the Brunel Rooms.
November: New Fitted Kitchen showroom will open in the Brunel Rooms.
New Bathroom showroom will open in the Brunel Rooms.
“Old Soapworks” building will be closed by the end of the month.

June 2018 Update: This used to be the Cyclelife store which has been cleared for work to begin on the new Kitchen Showroom. The showroom will make the most of the unique features of the showroom, including the curved brick ceiling.

“Old Soapworks” Building – what’s happening to the departments in the Gardiner Haskins “Old Soapworks”building?
By the end of 2018 the Gardiner Haskins “Old Soapworks” building will no longer be in use, our core Bristol business will run from the Brunel Rooms which sits adjacent to this building, accessed from Straight Street. The following departments will be closed by the end of the year and will not be moving to the Brunel Rooms:
Electrical Appliances – there will be built-in appliances available to view in our new Kitchen showroom
DIY & Decorating
Checkout Convenience Store
Sofas and Furniture
Tools and Hardware
Cafe Mezz – tea and coffee will be provided when having a consultation in the new showroom
We are continuing to grow our website so lots of products will be available for Click & Collect in store or for delivery.
Are there any changes to your Cirencester store?
No, Cirencester will not be affected at all by these changes.
Does this affect my statutory rights or any guarantee/warranty on products I purchase?
No. Gardiner Haskins will still be fully operational and will have a dedicated customer service desk to handle any queries. All customers can continue to shop with us with the confidence of knowing that we will carry on offering full after sales care for every purchase.
Is Gardiner Haskins closing down?
No. This is a just a restructure of our business. Gardiner Haskins has been a part of Bristol since 1825 and there has been lots of changes during that time as we adapt to what our customers need. This is just another one of those changes. We will continue to be one of the largest independent retailers in Bristol with many loyal customers who value our heritage and status as an independent and local alternative. We believe that Bristol will remain a thriving shopping destination, especially for independent retailers as more customers choose to shop local.
I frequently park my car at Gardiner Haskins in Bristol, will this be affected?
No, our car parks will remain open with no change to opening hours and we still have contract parking spaces available for weekly, monthly, 6 months or annual terms. Read more about our contract car parking here. You can contact our car parking team via email: email@example.com.
Rewards Customers – what’s happening with our loyalty scheme?
There will be no change to our Rewards scheme in Cirencester.
Bristol will continue to offer the Rewards scheme for purchases in the new Kitchens, Bathrooms, Beds, Custom Made Curtains and Blinds departments.
We will continue to offer 1% back on all purchases in our store in the form of wine or store vouchers.
Bonus! For our wine redemption we will increase the cap from 10 to 20 bottles (Bristol and Cirencester).
Free Tea and Coffee for Rewards: Our Cafe Mezz will close by December 2018 and will not be relocated to the Brunel Rooms. We are considering our options for a new cafe but there are no plans at present. Our new showroom will have tea and coffee making facilities so you can grab a cuppa whilst having a chat to our sales and design teams.
Exclusive Rewards offers: Customers subscribed to our Rewards scheme will continue to receive their monthly offers via email which will continue to include great deals on products in store and online. We plan to increase the range of products which can be purchased through our website which can be collected in store or delivered to your door.
