Old Grain Store kitchen transformation

Liza, took on a mammoth renovation project transforming an old grain store into a modern country home. Originally, the large kitchen space housed the cattle carts, but Liza knew exactly the look she wanted, having the vision, passion and ideas to achieve a light, airy kitchen with amazing high wooden beams that makes the space visually huge! Exposed uneven, original stone walls and traditional country shaker style units, difficult to shape and fit into the uneven wall spaces, add character to this stunning fitted kitchen.

With Alec’s expertise, Liza’s vision and Paul, the kitchen fitter’s attention to detail, they pulled together a unique fitted kitchen in a class of its own. Ruby was pretty impressed with it too!

A handbag and a teapot were the inspiration behind Trisha and Phil’s fitted kitchen. Trisha and Phil already knew the colour scheme they wanted for their new kitchen. With their heart set on teal kitchen cabinetry, they brought along a favourite teapot and handbag to match the exact shade they longed for.

Impressed with the design process Tricia and Phil commented, “Alec really understood and accommodated their cookery interests suggesting features they hadn’t considered”.

Crown Imperial Handleless kitchen by Gardiner Haskins

Wayne and Jane lived in the farmhouse next door to the barn they went onto purchase.  Jane loved the farmhouse shaker kitchen style with the Aga. So, when they decided to purchase the barn and renovate it, she always thought she would go for the traditional farmhouse style kitchen again. A visit to a friend’s house with a modern kitchen style also from Gardiner Haskins made her think a little differently. They had fallen in love with the modern style. One trip later to the showroom to see Alec the kitchen designer, convinced them both that a modern style kitchen would work well. When Alec came to the house to measure up, there was nothing but a complete blank canvas and shell for the kitchen. He could see the front of the house taking shape and recommended a modern kitchen in keeping with the modern design of the renovation. The new modern Crown handle-less kitchen sits beautifully at the rear of the property with amazing views of the countryside beyond.
