If knowing when to plant your vegetables is a problem for you, this blog will help put you on the right track to nutritious vegetables. These dates can vary due to the ever-changing weather in the UK.

 

Broad Beans:

Sow: February and March

Harvest: June, July and August

Runner Beans:

Sow: May, June and July

Harvest: July through to October

Beetroot:

Sow: April, May, June and July

Harvest: July through to October

Brussel Sprouts:

Sow: March and April (depending on frost)

Harvest: October through to February

Carrots

Sow: March through to July

Harvest: June through to November

Leeks

Sow: March and April (depending on frost)

Harvest: September through to February

Lettuce:

Sow: March through to August

Harvest: July through to October

Onions:

Sow: March and April

Harvest: August, September and October

Potatoes:

Sow: March and April

Harvest: June through to September

Tomatoes:

Tomatoes are best established in side or in a greenhouse and then moved outdoors at a later date.

Sow indoors: April and May

Move outside: May and June

Harvest: August, September and October
