With a story that begins in 1881 in the small town of Sealy, Texas, Sealy’s journey is rooted in care, innovation and a simple desire to improve everyday comfort.

That journey started when cotton gin builder Daniel Haynes handcrafted a cotton-filled mattress for a neighbour. It's comfort quickly became known, leading to further requests from family and friends and inspiring Haynes to invent a mattress-making machine of his own. By 1889, his invention was patented, laying the foundations for a brand that would grow steadily for more than a century. Today, Sealy continues to honour that legacy, with over 40 years of trusted presence here in the UK.
